The flood didn't last long, but its effects continue. To people who were affected, the flood and its aftermath are still a daily reality. In their own words, here are stories from just a few of our neighbors.

It’s Still Going On

"It’s been ten months, you know, and people ask, ‘Are you in your house?’ And I say, ‘Yeah, I’m in my house.’ And the feeling is, ‘Well, then you’re done.’ But it’s not done. It’s not a home yet. You can’t go home until you have a home. For those of us who went through the flood, it’s still going on.”
